A third year of Florida Country Superfest in Jacksonville is not happening.

It was announced that the organizers of the festival have created a new event, called Country 500: The Great American Music Fest at Daytona.

The music festival at EverBank Field brought some of the biggest names in country music to Jacksonville in 2014 and 2015.

In a statement, Festival Productions Incorporated, the group that put on the event said, "Florida Country Superfest had a successful two-year run, annually entertaining tens of thousands of festivalgoers. A change in corporate strategy has led to the creation of an exciting new event for Florida music fans."

Over the last two years, Florida Country Superfest filled the stadium and hotels around Jacksonville as people came from all 50 states to see artists like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and the Zac Brown Band.

But those fans will now have to drive to Daytona for a similar festival, which will take place in the infield of Daytona International Speedway.

Paul Astleford, a representative for Visit Jacksonville and a member of the Tourist Development Council, said Jacksonville a group in Daytona had been bidding back-and-forth since August over the Superfest, offering different incentives and deals to the producers.

He said Daytona must have offered a pretty big incentive recently because Jacksonville did not even have a chance to throw their hat in the ring to compete with the Daytona deal.

Mayor Lenny Curry's office issued a statement Friday:

"Moving forward, we will build on the momentum generated from the successful events and are focused on proactively pursuing events that yield positive economic development results, accelerate Jacksonville's brand and enhance our quality of life."  

The new Memorial Day weekend event at Daytona International Speedway will feature music stars Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson and dozens more.

The complete lineup and will be released Nov. 3, the same day tickets and VIP packages go on sale to the public.

The Country 500 festival will be spread over three days and nights, programmed on three huge performance stages, all specially designed and built for the festival. Country 500 will take place on the infield of the world-famous Daytona International Speedway, a historic first mega-music festival inside the hallowed grounds of one of the most iconic motorsports venues in America, organizers said.

The event will also allow fans to camp out in the infield inside the festival.

Florida Country Superfest Announces Schedule, Fan Fest

Florida Country Superfest fans are in for nearly 24 hours of music when the festival rolls into EverBank Field on June 14 to 15.

Some of the biggest names in modern country music played at the stadium from 17:00 every day. Up -and-comers play earlier in the day at Fan Fest free outside the south end of the Stadium.



The fan festival is open from 11:30 to 17:00 every day and it's free. You do not need a ticket to the concert to attend Fan Fest.

Florida: Jacksonville Goes Country With Inaugural Florida Country Superfest

Jacksonville is getting tuned to celebrate the opening of the Florida Country Superfest with a slate of stars. The meeting will be held June 14 and 15 at EverBank Field - home of the Jaguars - the event also has a Fan Fest and Tailgate Party outside the stadium with artist meet and greets food and more.

Luke Bryan will be touring in 2014 on a headlining tour has been called the "That's my kind of night " Tour. The tour begins in Columbus, OH at Schottenstein Center on January 16, 2014. Luke Bryan has recently added 54 new concert dates of “That’s my kind of night “Tour. The tour, though subject to further changes, is now scheduled to end in Los Angeles, CA at the Hollywood Bowl on October 25, 2014.

Luke Bryan will be promoting his fourth studio album , "Crash My Party" , which contained the hit singles "Crash My Party" ( # 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs # 1 & Lists U.S. Billboard Country Airplay ) , " that's My Kind of Night" (# 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs & # 2 in the U.S. charts Billboard Country Airplay ) and " have a beer " (# 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs & the U.S. charts Billboard Country Airplay ) .

Luke Bryan began his journey to fame country music with his debut album “I’ll Stay Me" in August 2007 debut album contained three singles. “All my friends say “(which reached # 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs)”, we rode in trucks” (which reached # 33 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs) and "Man Country” (which reached # 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs).

Luke Bryan swept the American Country Awards in 2012 bringing home 9 awards, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year (for " rear doors and Tanlines "). In 2013 the awards kept coming with ACM Awards (Vocal Collaboration of the Year) , CMT (Collaboration Video of the Year " ) and AMA (Favorite Country Male Artist .) He has been nominated for three 2014 ACM awards, not the results in
